Wire Lubrication

Wire lubrication for crane and working wires is carried out using controlled, high-pressure systems that drive lubricant into the rope’s internal structure — not just the outer surface. This approach protects internal strands where wear and corrosion begin, helping extend service life and maintain predictable lifting performance in demanding offshore environments.

High-pressure wire lubrication — applied correctly

Wire lubrication is most effective when lubricant is forced into the core of the rope under pressure. Using specialised equipment, the wire is cleaned and passed through a pressurised lubrication system, allowing grease to penetrate internal strands where moisture, friction, and fatigue typically originate.

This method significantly improves rope protection compared to surface-only application. It reduces manual handling, limits downtime, and helps maintain wire integrity between inspections — supporting safer crane operations and longer replacement intervals.

What this means

You extend wire service life and reduce avoidable replacements. Lubrication is completed as a planned operation — keeping condition under control, lowering corrosion risk, and supporting safer lifting performance over time.

One interface. One operational plan. Handled properly.
